oh me oh my!
i cant believe another week has passed since i last blogged again x)
sorry.
dun seems to have much control of time over here!
but honestly!!!
i've nothing much to add or say!!!
HMMM!!
well i've juz begun WEEK ZERO here. boring to say the least?
monday there was the clubs booths and all. reminds me of the regualr CCA booths during orientation where you start trying to pull people to join your CCA and all. well i was looking around and i was thinking there isnt actually any interesting clubs that particularly grabs your attention. the ones that had really cool names that was enticing turned out really disappointing. but yeah, i put my name on the mailing list of one club in the end. the club to HELP FIGHT POVERTY!!!! x) haha, i cant believe i'm so helpful, but it was interesting. you get to do volunteer stuff and all so yeah!
den today, nothing much in school? there was this host programme? which iz juz like how we always juz split into orientation groups.. yeah. so this was juz like that. ice breakers and walk around, and we actually said byebye to our hosts after an hour or two. they disappeared and we were on our own again x) geex.
so things i've realised,
although i did set out on this journey to actually make friends and immerse myself in the australian culture, it so turns out that i cant really find myself at ease trying to make friends with the locals. ): well it's either they dun seem really friendly that they wanna talk to you, or it's juz their accent. i was thinking how does their accent actually come about? so i tried listening to them talking and figuring it out in my mini brain. i conclude that, their accent comes about cuz their words are slurred. :D haha x) like lazy to really pronounce their words properly and precisely to the "d"s and the "t"s and yeah.
but den again,
it might juz be because i've made friends with a singapore girl? she's taking the same course as i am and we've been hanging around with each other pretty much everyday. not that we actually arranged to meet since i do not have an australia line. but it juz so happens we juz bump into each other when we're in school! coincidence? hmmm
i tink i need to join more clubs. ):
everyone says that's the best place to find new friends rather than waiting for lectures and tuts. maybe. and i'm starting to believe them.
what club should i join now... hmmm
oh yeah, baby said he cut his hair :p but he doesnt want to send me a photo of his new hairstyle. will someone please take it secretly and send it over? x) haha thanks! (:
